Summertime

~Happy first day of summer~

Sorry For Any Inconvenience...

...but apparently my email was recently hacked. If you received an email link supposedly from me, it wasn't! It's spam. Don't click on it. I rarely, if ever, send links - and I'll always sign them in a way that hopefully some silly spam bot wouldn't - but feel free to email me before opening any links from me, anyway. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused... Spring forward tonight, which makes me want to sleep in. On the bright side, it also means Spring's almost here - hurray!

Little Postcards, Here and There

The past few months I've been drawing and painting little postcards for friends and family. I like the little size. A lot of the photos seem kind of fuzzy - fuzzier than the pictures were, at least as I remember them - even if they were mostly watercolor...But most of the photos were snapped just moments before gifting them or popping them in the mail, so no re-takes... ...and some I never got around to photographing at all - oh, the ones that got away! Sigh. Always makes me wistful, when I forget to take a pic - or do, but it doesn't turn out so well...But here are a few. At least I can prove I've made some arr this year!

Catching Up

Wow, does time ever fly when you're having fun! I can hardly believe it's been nearly a year, since I last posted on this blog. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then. Here's a handful of highlights from the past year:

The heron and egret up above, took part in the Ripple Sketches project for the Gulf wildlife, last summer - around July, I think...

Then, in September, I was proud to see the little balloonist (above), show up in Patti Digh's Four Word Self Help Book. In October, the goat and parrot (not to mention, the bananas) were also published, in Creative Is a Verb, by Patti Digh. Both books are available through either Amazon or Barnes & Noble, as well as on the author's website).

The happiest event of the past year though, was welcoming a new member to our family, when baby V, the youngest of our three grandgirls arrived on October 22nd.

So there you have some of rhe highlights of my 2010. A banner year, of sorts. Next, to catch up some here, for this year...

Spring

Rabbits and frogs a-leaping - the daffodils are waking up and the johnny jump-ups are jumping up. Must be time to spring forth!

Not a minute too soon for Mrs. Rabbit, either. Looks like the kids are ready for spring break too.
